The Week of March 9-13, 2015

Greetings Camarena Families.  We are fast approaching Spring Break, yet there are several big events to consider before we go.  Here is a calendar for this week’s events.

All Week – Spring Book Fair in MPR.  Come on out and investigate the collection for some great Spring Break reads.

Monday, March 9 – There will be a Community Forum (6:00 PM) in our auditorium which will provide an opportunity for all members of the Chula Vista Elementary School District family to provide input on the educational plan for CVESD for the next three years.  All are welcome and encouraged to make their voice heard so that our schools reach their lofty goals

Tuesday, March 10 – Election of New PTA Board Members for 2015-16.  PTA Board Meeting (6:00 PM)

Wednesday, March 11 – Kinder and New Student Registration 2015-16.  By Appointment Only. Please call 591-5500

Thursday, March 12 – 1st Day of Parent Conferences (1:15 Release).  Be sure to contact your teacher for an appointment.

Friday, March 13 – Parent Conferences (1:15 Release)  Tile Night (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

Here are some of the sights from last week at Camarena Elementary.  It was an eventful week that was filled with the spirit of international cultural exchange and lots and lots of books!

I love this student created definition of “timeless” by Ms. Cosio’s students after studying Dr. Seuss and his many books.

On Read My Shirt Day the word that was statistically most prevalent across the entire campus was “Awesome”.  I mean, is there a better word to describe life in Elementary School?  I don’t think so.

Ms. Marcial’s class took Pajama Day serious.

Thursday it was a Fun in the Sun invasion.
