We have some exciting events coming our way this week at Camarena including a visit from a delegation of Chinese students and educators beginning this Tuesday. Here are the events and details of interest on our campus.
Monday 23 – 6th Graders leave for Camp Marston
Tuesday 24 – Chinese Delegation Welcome Ceremony (8:15 AM) Come on out to enjoy the festivities which will include the American and Chinese National Anthems. Our guests will be with us through Wednesday, March 4 as we learn from one another about the strengths of our respective educational systems. Jr. Soccer (4:00 PM), PTA Boot Camp (6:00 PM)
Wednesday 25 – 2015-16 Kinder and New Student Information Meeting (6:00 PM) Speaking of welcoming, it’s time to meet our new Camarena families as we prepare for the 2015-16 school year with information about registration, Dual Immersion, and the start of the next school year in July.

Thanks to our fantastic cheer squad, we always have a festive atmosphere at Camarena Athletic events.
Our Basketball team lost a dramatic 1-point game to Olympic View on Thursday, but they played with heart and determination and they’ll be back in a week to take on the next foe.
The soccer team competed fiercely with Veterans on Thursday coming up on the short end of a 3-0 score.
Preparations were underway for our visitors from the Great land of China!
